"Uninhibited singing is one of the most joyful things you can experience!"
says Ingrid. "I meet my students where they are, and I deliver to them the results that matter. Each student is different so each student receives individualized attention. I truly believe that everyone can and should sing."

Ingrid grew up in a house full of singers, Dad, David Sorin Collyer was in Vaudeville and on Broadway and then became one of the country's most prominent voice teachers, Mom, Nanci Sorin Collyer is also a performer and voice teacher, her Godmother, Helen Hobbs Jordan was a teacher to Tony Bennett, Melissa Manchester . . . It's no wonder that show business is in her blood!

Ingrid studied with the great Stella Adler at her conservatory where she learned so much from her presence alone.

She started working on television, in soap operas, recording children's albums for Polygram Records and performing in nightclubs until her father asked her to collaborate with him and carry on his work. Ingrid apprenticed with David Collyer for two years before she started to teach.
